I am working on specifying and enforcing security policies relative to a given threat model, in programming languages and systems to assure multilevel security compliance by controlling information flow among mutually untrusted agents. The plan is to build a platform that enables certifying security of programs written programming languages like Java.

Traditional Security Information and Event
Management (SIEM) systems are mostly static and
reactive. They have preset parameters for the
level and detail of collecting logs and they
typically react to preset conditions for
triggering alerts. In this project:
- We
explore how to combine techniques from declarative
policy based languages used for network management
and anomaly detection using machine learning
techniques to proactively adapt to patterns
detected in the logs to reconfigure and enhance
the monitoring, analysis and incident management
as needed
- We will demonstrate the usefulness
of this by building a prototype suitable for
environments like the campus network of IIT
